Ajami, FILM PUNCH

Israeli cinema has wings. In recent years, quality products are increasing and rewards fall worldwide. Meduses , Waltz with Bashir, Lebanon (Golden Lion in Venice) and now Ajami, among dozens of others.

We also note that the Israeli film that works is one that shows the pain, violence, the conflict of a society suffering. Faced with war, racism or hatred. It's probably a little sad but it ainsi.Pas room for any comedy. What sells is the pain. So deep and true here in Israel and Palestine.

And Ajami is no exception to the rule, this production israel and Palestine; conducted by Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani, has won a prize at the Mediterranean Film Festival of Valencia. (And another in London festival).

Ajami is a movie punch that evokes the intertwined fate of Jews, Christians and Muslims. Ajami is deeply moving as it is true and exposes a reality not always rosy in these cities "mestizo" Israeli. Which combines the Arab and Jewish Israelis. If the subject seems a bit cliche, it is imaged in a very efficient and so authentic, the reality of Jaffa in 2010 with many Israeli Arabs. It has been three days since I tested Google Wave seriously (thank you Maxence ) and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. It's fun and as usual Google offers a very intuitive interface and "very friendly".

But let's be clear, Google Wave is actually a super fat cat live to several (or not). A cat improved a little email, Google Docs just a hint of Twitter and with the possibility to share everything online with friends and everything, of course, in real time. Send emails or conversations that become focal points can intervene directly and modify all the elements. Rich emails where he can directly integrate video, photos from your online accounts or Google maps or surveys. Lots of other features come gradually. Google Wave is a bit of a catch-all Web 2.0: Real time, micro-conversations, permanent constitution and sharing. Google has had a nose and tries to propose an interface that combine all the features the most prominent. And it is generally very successful, and the Mail / Chat password in the 21st century.

And that's pretty funny to see the most recent developments on the web (micro-blogging, real-time streams, etc ...) in fact take us back to the original cat. Shorpy: Scenes of life in another time

is stupid but the web has to offer us great wonders of technology, we find almost daily beautiful sites with innovative concepts, revolutionary web 4.0 ... we can talk real time and social branding .. sometimes to be enthusiastic about a site simply.

This happened to me with Shorpy, a U.S. site photographs. Photos of the U.S. daily, people, landscapes, places, families ..... between 1900 and 1960. Dull pictures and sometimes real gems. I could stay for minutes to contemplate these rare moment of beginning of the century, these scenes living with "real people" from another time, dressed like in the movies of Bergman. There are 100 years ago.



As this shot at the edge of a river so intensely that evokes a scene straight out of a painting by Seurat, Monet or Manet (click on photo to enlarge in very large) . Explore these adults and children, in a far past reality of our modern frenetic but so close to our imagination.
