Noam Shalit Aviva has put the turbo and have felt like many of us that opportunity is now moving, a few days before incoming government of Bibi, a golden opportunity to free Gilad, held their hands over Hamas since nearly 3 years. They decided to settle down before the house of Prime Minister Olmert who is unable to do necessarily to bring Gilad home. Yet Hamas is ready and we know its price: around 1000 Palestinian prisoners. It loud and clear. It must be said here above, Israel is responsible for blocking negotiations: Olmert is (and / or Barak) who refuses to make a decision. And therein lies the problem: he has the right to refuse such a deal, he has the right to say no to the release of murderers in power. But he has absolutely no legitimacy for any hesitation and no decision. Faced with this obvious lack of political courage, the Shalit family decided to camp in the street in Jerusalem until the last day of the Olmert government. One word: Bravo.
media succeed in the tent and the various personalities who are supporting Noam and Aviva, which I must say show restraint, elegance and wisdom impressive and even surprising. I think I would have already fired the prime minister's office in their place or that I'd made in Gaza alone .... What is certain is that the time is not for them.
I'd like a moment you close your eyes and you put yourself in the shoes of these parents, 24 hours over 24, think that kid 20 years held in a cellar deep in Gaza. Was it cold, hungry? Does it hurt? he scared, is he hurt? How it will come out of this experience? How many years to recover to trauma? or does he find the death in custody? Or never heard from again as Ron Arad? Both
thoughts, anxieties that prevent sleep, to live normally, to breathe properly. Difficult to put in their place. Difficult to imagine their child in such a situation. Even impossible.
So when you read this comfortably at your computer, think at the same time, Gilad is surely sitting most evil of the world, blindfolded and perhaps with fear, certainly without any certainty its aftermath. Are you able to stop a moment and imagine this moment with Gilad?
